After 36 dates in Europe, 2012 brings new powers to Negură Bunget’s 15th anniversary tour. It is now time to conquer new places. We can announce that 33 dates of the Transilvanian Legacy Tour, across US and Canada, are now confirmed. This one is going to be epic! The band is working with US artist David Richardson (www.daverichardsonart.com/daverichardson-a.html) for some unique stage elements to be used throughout the US tour. Negură Bunget bio:
With an active presence in the Metal Scene going back to 1995, Negură Bunget shaped a trully personal musical and spiritual vision since its beginning. An amazing DIY attitude and seemingly neverending rezilience made the band perform more than 500 gigs throughtout Europe, from small venues in remote places to the stages of famous festivals like Wacken Open Air, Summerbreeze, Hellfest or Graspop. The 2006 album OM put the bands name in the history of Black Metal, being voted by the UK leading magazine Terrorizer as nr. 6 in The Top 100 Albums of the Decade (2000-2010). Many thought the line-up changes in 2008 would bring down the band, but in fact things turned out to work well, and the new album Vîrstele pămăntului got an amazing response from both audience and media, taking the band to an even higher level. The band currently teamed up with German label Prophecy Production / Lupus Lounge Records for releasing an even more ambitious project – a visual and musical trilogy set to explore the band’s Transilvanian heritage. The first tunes of it are about to be heard on the tour. Negură Bunget is renowned for its intense and authentic live presence, which is now ready to be unleashed for the first time over North America.
