VERKRAG – 13 Victims

Demented depravity from the mind of a clinically insane pedophile, are the themes that surround Verkrag’s first full length album, “13 Victims.”

Self imposing and debuting the genre of ‘psychotic-black metal,’ the albums ominous ambience to steady tremolo guitar playing, high shrieked vocals, and obvious programmed percussion, are the only aspects that truly stand alone as black metal. Straight forward lyrical content of a disturbing series of events (with title tracks such as: Incestuous, Little girls, and a cover of Marilyn Manson’s rendition of Sweet Dreams) one can clearly envision the very essence in which Verkrag wishes to shock his listeners.

Written, produced, and released by the soul member, Anton Van Niekerk, 13 Victims is a decent attempt musically from this South African Native.
